Welcome

We know that attending a church for the first time can be a bit intimidating and want to make your first trip to The Outpost as easy as possible. Knowing where to go, when to show up, and what to expect when you get here can make attending somewhere new a little easier.

What To Expect

Our Sunday gatherings are held in the Performing Arts Center at Yelm High School. Services begin each week at 10:00 am so arrive a few minutes early to get kids checked into Children's church and find a seat. When you arrive at the school parking lot, follow the signs that say visitor for some front-row parking. Go into the front doors with the welcome sign and you will be greeted by one of our friendly hospitality volunteers.

We have children's church services that run the duration of our gathering for kids 0-12 years of age. During the service, our kids church team will lead our littles in a lesson, craft, time of singing, and a snack. Upon arrival, we will help you get your children checked in (or feel free to keep them with you if you are more comfortable with that...we love having whole families join in the service and invite the little noises made by little voices). Stop by the "I'm New Here" table and meet one of our hospitality volunteers that will answer any questions you may have about getting connected into the life of The Outpost Church.

Grab something to drink, some notes, and head into the auditorium for worship that begins at 10 am. We sing a blend of contemporary and traditional music led by a live worship team. After worship we take a few minutes to communicate upcoming information and ministry opportunities and then break for 5-10 minutes to use the restroom, grab some notes, or something to drink.

After the break, you will hear a challenging and encouraging word from one of our pastors. Typically we preach verse by verse through a passage or book of the Bible trying to arrive at how we should live in light of it. The sermon usually lasts between 30-45 minutes.

After services we will help you check out your children from kids church from our check-in station. Be sure to connect with our hospitality team if you have any questions or if there is any way we can serve your family. Also, be sure to return your connection card to the "I'm New Here" station and we will give you a first time visitor gift for joining us. We can't wait to meet you!
