January Week 2 Family Discipleship
January 14th-20th
God Raises Up a Deliverer
Watch the Youtube video of this week's lesson.
This weeks big truth is:
God raises up a leader to deliver his people out of slavery.
God raises up a leader to deliver his people out of slavery.
This weeks memory verse is:
I will bring you up out of the affliction of Egypt to... a land flowing with milk and honey.
(Exodus 3:17)
I will bring you up out of the affliction of Egypt to... a land flowing with milk and honey.
(Exodus 3:17)
Here are a few questions for your family to discuss this week based on the teaching your kids received in class on Sunday. Space these questions out throughout the week and find natural times to bring them up. Use these questions to spark conversation over dinner or on a car ride.
Question One: What did Pharaoh command to be done to the Israelite baby boys? Why do you think he did that?
Question Two: How did God protect Moses during this time? What would have happened to Moses if God hadn't protected him?
Question Three: Do you think God still protects us like he did Moses today? If so, how?
Question Four: The Israelites had been treated pretty badly by the Egyptians. What are some of the things that were done to them? Do you think that God had forgotten about them?
Question Five: Some times we may feel like God has forgotten about us, but He is always there. Spend some time as a family thinking over some of the ways God has worked in your family. Pray over those things and remember to spend some time thanking God for the things he has done.
