September 8th - 14th
The Miraculous Catnap
Watch the Youtube video of this week's lesson.
This weeks big truth is:
Like Daniel, we can trust and obey God no matter what happens.
Like Daniel, we can trust and obey God no matter what happens.
This weeks memory verse is:
Those who know your name put their trust in you, for you, O Lord, have not forsaken those who seek you.
(Psalm 9:10)
Those who know your name put their trust in you, for you, O Lord, have not forsaken those who seek you.
(Psalm 9:10)
Here are a few questions for your family to discuss this week based on the teaching your kids received in class on Sunday. Space these questions out throughout the week and find natural times to bring them up. Use these questions to spark conversation over dinner or on a car ride.
Question One: WDaniel had good and bad things happen to him. What are some of those things?
Question Two: How did Daniel respond to those things? How did he respond to the new law?
Question Three: Daniel broke the law, and the king was forced to punish him. What was the King afraid of? What was Daniel afraid of? Would you be afraid if you were thrown in a den of lions?
Question Four: How does the story of Daniel and the lions' den remind you of Jesus? What's different? What do both stories teach us about trusting and obeying?
