Family Discipleship February Week 2
February 9th - 15th
The Happy Meal That Kept on Going
Watch the Youtube video of this week's lesson.
This weeks big truth is:
Jesus is the bread of life.
Jesus is the bread of life.
This weeks memory verse is:
Jesus said to them, "I am the bread of life; whoever comes to me shall not hunger, and whoever believes in me shall never thirst."
(John 6:35)
Jesus said to them, "I am the bread of life; whoever comes to me shall not hunger, and whoever believes in me shall never thirst."
(John 6:35)
Here are a few questions for your family to discuss this week based on the teaching your kids received in class on Sunday. Space these questions out throughout the week and find natural times to bring them up. Use these questions to spark conversation over dinner or on a car ride.
Question One: What's the longest you've gone without eating? When you are really hungry and tired, how do you act towards others?
Question Two: Jesus was hungry and tired in our story today. How did he act during that time?
Question Three: Can you imagine how much food it would take to feed five thousand men, plus their wives and their children? How much food did Jesus start with? Why was Jesus able to feed them when no one else was?
Question Four: How did Satan tempt Jesus when Jesus was hungry? What did Jesus tell Satan was more important than food?
Question Five: What do we need more than food? If Jesus is the bread of life, what should we do to be satisfied by him?
