Family Discipleship December Week 2
December 8th - 14th
Get Up!
Watch the Youtube video of this week's lesson.
This weeks big truth is:
Jesus has the power to forgive sins.
Jesus has the power to forgive sins.
This weeks memory verse is:
The Son of Man has authority on earth to forgive sins.
(Mark 2:10)
The Son of Man has authority on earth to forgive sins.
(Mark 2:10)
Here are a few questions for your family to discuss this week based on the teaching your kids received in class on Sunday. Space these questions out throughout the week and find natural times to bring them up. Use these questions to spark conversation over dinner or on a car ride.
Question One: Have you ever imagined what it would be like to be paralyzed? Spend a few minutes talking about what that would be like. Maybe even act out what being paralyzed would be like.
Question Two: What was it like to pretend to be paralyzed? What are somethings you could and couldn't do?
Question Three: Why were so many people trying to get to Jesus? Why were the friends of the paralyzed man trying to get him to Jesus? Did Jesus say he came to call those who are good or those who know they need a Savior? Why did Jesus Heal the paralyzed man?
Question Four: Who is the only one that could forgive sins? Why did some people get mad when Jesus told the paralyzed man, "your sins are forgiven"?
Question Five: Did the paralyzed man immediately get better? Who should we ask forgiveness from when we do things that are wrong? How do you feel after you ask forgiveness? Will Jesus forgive us if we ask?
