Here are a few questions for your family to discuss this week based on the teaching your kids received in class on Sunday. Space these questions out throughout the week and find natural times to bring them up. Use these questions to spark conversation over dinner or on a car ride.
Question One: How did God describe Job? Did being a good and righteous man keep him from suffering bad things? What can we learn from that?
Question Two: What bad things happened to Job? What did Satan think Job would do when these bad things happened? How did Job actually respond when those bad things happened?
Question Three: What are some bad things that have happened to you? How did you respond when those things happened?
Question Four: When Satan took away all the good things in Job's life, did the stop trusting God? How did Satan tempt Jesus? how did Jesus respond?
Question Five: How was Jesus tempted when he was on the cross? What did he do? What are some ways that Satan might tempt us? how do we resist him when he tempts us?
