Family Discipleship November Week 1

Here are a few questions for your family to discuss this week based on the teaching your kids received in class on Sunday. Space these questions out throughout the week and find natural times to bring them up. Use these questions to spark conversation over dinner or on a car ride.

Question One: How long did God say his promised King would rule? What people do we see come worship the King of the jews in today's story?

Question Two: The wisemen came and worshipped Jesus. What does this show us about God's promise that all nations would worship Israel's King?

Question Three: How did the wise men know a king had been born? Who controls the stars? Who did the wise men tell?

Question Four: Why did the wisemen come to see Jesus? What should Herod and the people of Jerusalem done when they learned that the promised King had been born?
 
Question Five: What did Herod want to do to Jesus? Why did he want to hurt Jesus? Why can't anyone stop Jesus from saving and ruling over his people? is Jesus still King today?
