Family Discipleship January Week 3
January 19th - 25th
Send Us to the Pigs!
Watch the Youtube video of this week's lesson.
This weeks big truth is:
Because Jesus has come to free us from the power of the evil one, we should celebrate and tell our friends.
Because Jesus has come to free us from the power of the evil one, we should celebrate and tell our friends.
This weeks memory verse is:
Go home to your friends and tell them how much the Lord has done for you.
(Mark 5;19)
Go home to your friends and tell them how much the Lord has done for you.
(Mark 5;19)
Here are a few questions for your family to discuss this week based on the teaching your kids received in class on Sunday. Space these questions out throughout the week and find natural times to bring them up. Use these questions to spark conversation over dinner or on a car ride.
Question One: In the story, where do we see Jesus showing his power? Why do you think Jesus is able to be this powerful?
Question Two: What are some hard things that you need Jesus' power to help you with?
Question Three: What was this man like before he met Jesus? Did he act different after? Through Jesus' love, he changed this mans life. How can his love do that for you?
Question Four: Have you ever felt really angry or sad or just felt like you needed someone to come alongside you and help you? Who did you go to? Who is someone you can always go to?
Question Five: What did the man do after Jesus rescued him? What has Jesus done for you that you can share with others? What is keeping you from telling people about that experience?
